POLICE are trying to talk down a man stood on a roof of a property in Victoria Avenue, west Hull.
Officers were called to the address at 3.27pm following reports of a potential burglary taking place.
A man, who is believed to know the owner of the property, made his way on to the roof after police arrived.
A police spokeswoman said: "At this time it is not known if the man has been involved in any criminal offence at the property."
Specially trained officers are being brought to the street in an attempt to talk him down.
Humberside Fire and Rescue and the ambulance service have staff nearby in case they are required.
A woman, who was wanted for a failure to appear at court, has also been arrested close to the address and is now in custody at Clough Road Police Station.
