A WOMAN has suffered serious head injuries in a crash on the A1079 today.
The woman was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary following the accident near Market Weighton at 8.30am.
She was driving a blue Hyundai which collided with a silver Mercedes. The driver of the Mercedes was not hurt.
Police closed the road in both directions after the accident, but it reopened at around noon.
Any witnesses are asked to call Humberside Police on 101.
