HULL City could complete the deal to sign Burnley striker Charlie Austin in the next 24 hours with the player due for a medical at the KC Stadium tomorrow.
The Mail understands City have now agreed a fee with the Championship club after weeks of negotiation, with the Tigers not willing to pay more than £4.5m.
Austin, 24, had made it clear to his current club that he was not willing to sign a new deal, and with only a year remaining on his contract, Burnley were forced to concede the loss of their star man.
Should Austin's medical go to plan as hoped, City could announce their latest addition to Steve Bruce's squad tomorrow afternoon.
