NORTH HULL: A Hull bath manufacturing firm is set close with potential loss of around 60 jobs.
Reva Industries, based in Rotterdam Road on Sutton Fields Industrial Estate, began a consultation process with workers at the factory yesterday.
The announcement comes in the same year as it was due to celebrate 20 years of trading.
Bosses at Reva say about 20 jobs could be saved by relocating the staff to sister company Astracast in Bradford, which is also owned by the HLD Group.
According to the firm, the Hull site is being forced to close due to its operational costs outweighing revenue.
HULL: Humberside police and crime commissioner will meet the family of murdered pensioner Jim Maloney on Monday.
Mr Grove will meet Mr Maloney's daughter Sheila Petrini to discuss her concerns over why her father's killer was released from prison without the family being informed.
Roche, 43, was jailed for 14 years last week for robbing a 73-year-old man just a year after being released on parole for his life sentence.
Mr Maloney, 66, was murdered by Roche during a burglary at his home in Preston Road back in 1994.
His family only found out he had been released from prison when they read about the latest case in the Mail.
Mr Grove expressed his concerns and pledged to write to Justice Secretary Chris Grayling to discuss the case.
He said: "I'm appalled that he has been released and has then gone on to commit a further offence against a vulnerable elderly person which appears to bear many of the hallmarks of Jim's case."
HULL: Humberside Police are hosting a crime reduction day in Bransholme on Wednesday.

There will also be an opportunity to meet the Bransholme Buddies.
