HULL KR centre Graeme Horne believes Rovers will continue to bring out his best after signing a new two-year deal at the club.
The 28-year-old has signed terms keeping him at MS3 Craven Park until the end of the 2015 season.
Horne is delighted to have secured his future at a time when he believes he is in the form of his life, and says he hopes to see out his career at the Robins.
"I'm probably playing the best rugby of my career at the minute," Horne told the Mail.
"I'm feeling good too playing 80 minutes every week. I'm 28 now and I still have a few years left in me.
"It's a two-year deal and I'm thrilled about that.
"We've been speaking for a few weeks about a new deal and the club wanted to keep me and I wanted to stay because I have really enjoyed my last two years here.
"The club has been great to me and I think I've done a good job for the club too.
"I don't see why I can't spend the rest of my career here at Rovers.
"I've enjoyed being here and it's great to play here in front of our fans.
"Hopefully in the next two years I can push on and earn another deal here to stay for the remainder of my career."
Horne is the first of the out of contract players to be signed up by Sandercock.
It comes after three leading players – Michael Dobson, Mickey Paea and Cory Paterson – have all decided to leave MS3 Craven Park at the end of the season.
Despite the defections, Horne believes Rovers are on the cusp of something big and he wants to be a part of it.
He said he wouldn't have extended his stay.
"We are disappointed to have lost a few blokes but that's rugby," Horne said.
"We have to get on with that and I'm sure Craig and the board are working hard to get the people in to replace the players leaving.
"We are building a really good team here at Rovers with a lot of good young kids around and hopefully I can pass on my experience to them.
"I want this team to be pushing for things.
"I wouldn't have stayed at a club I felt wasn't going anywhere.
"I believe we are going places so hopefully I can get some silverware here.
"I'm not saying we are going to win silverware but hopefully we'll be pushing for that and build on what we have built already this season.
"I'm hoping the next two years are better than the last two I've had."
