HULL City have confirmed the capture of goalkeeper Allan McGregor in a £1.8m deal from Turkish side Besiktas.
The 31-year-old Scotland international has penned a three-year deal at the KC Stadium to become Steve Bruce's fifth summer signing and new number one ahead of the Tigers' return to the Premier League.
McGregor will meet up with his new team-mates for pre-season training upon his exit from Turkey and meet fellow new additions George Boyd, Maynor Figueroa, Curtis Davies and Ahmed Elmohamady next week.
The capture of McGregor brings an end to City's summer-long search for an established keeper.
With the departure of former loan star David Stockdale back to parent club Fulham leaving just Eldin Jakupovic and Mark Oxley as the Tigers' remaining options, Bruce has prioritised plugging the goalkeeper void.
Moves for Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel eventually came to nothing, leaving McGregor as the only man targeted by Bruce.
McGregor's experience is known to appeal to the Tigers boss. As well as 10 years and over 250 appearances for Rangers, the Edinburgh-born stopper boasts six years in and around the Scotland camp.
He was part of the Ibrox exodus last summer following Rangers' financial woes and returns to British football after one season with Besiktas.
"I'm really excited to be here and I'm happy that everything is done now," McGregor told City's website.
"I can't wait to get started here. This is a great chance for me to play in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to the season ahead."
