HULL KR's Graeme Horne has assured fans they won't be making the same mistakes against Salford as they did the first time they met this season.
Rovers led 34-14 in the second half at the Salford City Stadium, but a late collapse allowed the Reds to claim their first victory of the season 38-34.
Horne knows Rovers will be reminded repeatedly about that round four game in the build-up to Sunday's return fixture at MS3 Craven Park.
And he admits they have revenge on their mind.
"We owe Salford and ourselves for what happened earlier this season," Horne told the Mail.
"That is a game we should never have let slip, especially as they were struggling to get a win.
"We were leading by 20 points and we blew it. That was the lowest of our lows this season.
"If we had won that game, we'd be a step closer to cementing our place in the play-offs now. It's safe to say we won't be making the same mistakes on Sunday as we did at their place."
Rovers head into the meeting on the back of four successive wins which have seen them open up a six point gap over ninth placed Bradford, whilst KR are 13 points better off than Brian Noble's side.
The Robins are just three points behind defending champions Leeds in fourth place, but while Horne is delighted to be taking form into the final stages of the season, he is not yet considering how high KR could finish.
"I wouldn't like to say where we could finish, our aim is to play in the play-offs," he said.
"We have some tough games coming up and the sooner we can make sure we are in the top eight, the better. We are finding form at just the right time.
"It's hard to say how many wins we need to cement our place, but we'll be going out to win them all.
"If we can keep our recent form going, we'll all be happy."
Horne had just recovered from a dislocated finger when he pulled up in the warm-up prior to Friday's 24-12 win at St Helens.
Any other night, the versatile Horne might have withdrawn from the side, but having seen Rhys Lovegrove and Liam Salter already laid low with illness, Horne epitomised the spirit within the camp by playing on despite the discomfort.
"I should be fine for the weekend," Horne said.
"The finger is fine but I did pick up a bit of a back injury in Friday's warm-up. There wasn't much I could have done, I had to play.
"Those are the sort of things we have been dealing with all season but we are a good group, willing to whatever we can."
