A performer from a young age, Joe was born in Hull and has a career that spans more than three decades.
His big break came in 1981 when he was a finalist on London Weekend Television's Search for a Star, which led to appearances at the London Palladium with Bob Hope.

EAST RIDING: The annual Wawne Village Show will take place on Saturday, July 13.
Starting at 1pm with a parade around the village, the event has many family attractions including side shows, stalls, a bouncy castle, dancers, magicians and a marching band.
There will also be a Spitfire fly-past, a dog agility show, face-painting for children, vintage tractors, cars and engines, and more.
A hog roast and disco is planned for the evening. Entry is free.
