TICKTON'S Kyle Edmund progressed to the second round of Wimbledon's Boys event with a 6-4, 6-3 win over Korea's Young Seok Kim.
Kim started the stronger breaking Edmund in the opening game of the match on his way to leading 4-2. But the Tickton teenager won the next four games to take the opening set 6-4.
The second set went to serve for the first five games before Edmund got the service break he wanted to control the second and deciding set.
Edmund sealed the victory with a comfortable service game to win on the hour mark.
Edmund will play the winner of Jay Andrijic from Australia and Japan's Yoshihito Nishioka for a place in the third round.
