DANIEL Holdsworth retains the full confidence of coach Peter Gentle for his goal-kicking despite his four misses proving costly at Castleford.
Holdsworth missed four of his six attempts, meaning FC fell to a 30-28 loss despite scoring six tries to the Tigers' five.
With Danny Tickle back in the squad tonight, the Aussie may be spared the responsibility with the boot.
But Gentle says he has full confidence in the former Salford man should he be called upon when Tickle is spelled.
"Daniel Holdsworth is still the best goalkicker behind Danny Tickle in our team and as Danny is only just coming back from injury he is not going to play 80 minutes so we still need Daniel who is still our best option," Gentle said.
"I know Joe Westerman, Ben Crooks and Joe Arundel can kick, but Daniel is still our second string kicker and he has kicked very well in training."
Holdsworth could be seen spending extra time practicing his goalkicking and drop-goal technique after training on Friday.
Alongside former half-back Gentle, he was also filmed to allow him to immediately look back on his technique.
"He's been practicising all week but that is nothing different to what he has done in the past so there is no panic stations or pointing the finger, it's business as usual," Gentle added.
"We conceded five tries at Castleford and that is where I am pointing the finger as we scored six tries.
"It's not good enough. Yes, had we kicked the goals we would have won, but we didn't deserve to win."
Whilst Holdsworth will be trusted to continue with the boot when Tickle is off the field, his new half-back partner Jacob Miller will also play under the knowledge the pressure is not on his shoulders from the coach.
The 20-year-old made a solid debut at Castleford, and although he now has another full week of training behind him, Gentle is not setting the bar of expectation too high for the Aussie scrum-half.
"The players have got more familiar with his style and he is becoming more familiar with ours," he said.
"We are not expecting big things from him yet though.
"If he can get us around the park and free up other people to play their game, that is all we are asking of him at the moment.
"He'll be a better player next year for us and I truly believe that."
