Three people have been arrested for murder in connection with the death of a 27-year-old man outside a house near Goole.
Dale Partington, 27, was discovered dead outside the house in St Lawrence Avenue, Snaith, just around 8am on Sunday morning. A post mortem has confirmed he died from stab wounds.
A 37-year-old man, a 25-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, all from the Snaith area, have been arrested for murder and the house in St Lawrence Avenue along with another address in Chestnut Close have been cordoned off.
Humberside Police forensic teams are currently searching both houses as a team of detectives based at the Major Incident Room in Driffield continue their investigation.
Detective Chief Inspector Matt Hutchinson, leading the investigation, said: "My thoughts are with the family of Dale Partington at this terribly sad time and specially trained officers are with his family, offering support, during this difficult time.
"We have arrested three people for murder but we have a lot more enquiries to do in order to establish Dale's whereabouts and what happened to him leading to his body being discovered and I am appealing to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to contact us".
Anyone who has any information which they believe would assist the police or who were in and around the Market Place and St Lawrence Avenue areas of Snaith during the late evening of Saturday and the early hours of Sunday are asked to contact Humberside Police on 101.
