A HULL resident has been fined for illegally transferring rubbish waste.
Homayun Amiri, 29, of Jubilee Square, Sykes Street, paid a man to get rid of waste from his property.
The rubbish was later found fly tipped on Cecil Street.
Mr Amiri pleaded guilty to the offence when he appeared at Hull Magistrates Court earlier this month.
He was fined £105.
Councillor John Hewitt said: "Individuals and businesses have a duty of care to dispose of their waste responsibly. Mr Amiri should have made the necessary checks before having his waste removed by an unlicensed carrier."
