A street marshal had to separate a man and woman handcuffed together in Hull city centre after a prank backfired.
The pair were handcuffed together on a night out in Whitefriargate and were unable to free themselves.
The fire service was called but a street marshal was first on the scene.
Emergency services control staff said it was believed to have been "some sort of prank".
A spare key was used to unlock the cuffs at 10.25pm on Saturday.
