Hundreds of people watched troops parade through Hull city centre on Armed Forces Day.
The 150 Yorkshire Transport Regiment led a Freedom Parade through city streets before taking a salute at the Amy Johnson Statue.
A series of activities - including rugby sessions for kids - survived the rainy weather, but a flypast by a Second World War Spitfire had to be cancelled.
Councillor Steve Walker, lead member for Armed Forces and Veterans, said: "This was a fantastic opportunity for the people of Hull to show their support to our armed forces personnel and Armed Forces Day is a very important date in our calendar."
Ingrid Buckley, who took grandson Liam, three, to watch the parade, said: "He is soldier mad. He loves the big trucks.
"It is important we support our soldiers at events like this."
