A rugby player accused of sexually assaulting a student on a college campus with his friends told a jury the woman had consented to group sex. William Robinson is on trial accused of taking part in a sex attack with his two friends Thomas Price and Stephen Johnson on a girl at Bishop Burton College. The woman has accused the three of befriending her outside the college, taking her keys and pushing her into her room, where they sexually assaulted her. Today, Mr Robinson told a trial at Hull Crown Court: "She was fine with the situation, she was consenting. She was not kicking and screaming or anything like that." Fellow rugby player Stephen Johnson told the jury the girl handed them her keys and they did not force her into her room at the college. Thomas Price, 21, of Rotherham, is accused of rape and assault by penetration, Stephen Johnson, 21, of Scotts Garth Close, Tickton, is accused of sexual assault and assault by penetration and William Robinson, 20, of Doncaster, is accused of assault by penetration. The men deny the charges and the trial continues next week.
