HULL City will kick-off their Premier League return with a mouth-watering trip to Jose Mourinho's Chelsea on the opening weekend of the new season.
In an opening fixture that mirrors the start of the Tigers' last top-flight season in 2009-10, Steve Bruce's men will travel to Stamford Bridge as the first opponents of Mourinho's second stint in charge of the Blues.
City's first home game will be against Norwich City a week later before another testing away day at Manuel Pellegrini's Manchester City on August 31.
The Tigers return from the first international break with a home game against Cardiff City – a rerun of the dramatic final day of the Championship season – and then travel to Newcastle United.
Back-to-back home games against West Ham United and Aston Villa then follow in what could be a key period before the October international break.
City's season was mapped out this morning with the eagerly-anticipated unveiling of the 2013-14 fixture list.
As well as the high-profile games at Chelsea and Manchester City inside the opening month, the Tigers' faithful can also relish trips to Tottenham on October 26 and Arsenal on December 3.
A Boxing Day date at home to Manchester United, now managed by David Moyes, will also be circled on calendars, before 2013 ends with the visit of Fulham to the KC Stadium.
City begin 2014 with a New Year's Day trip to Liverpool, while arguably the biggest away day of all comes on April 12 with the trip to Old Trafford.
The Tigers' campaign ends with Aston Villa away on May 3 and Everton at home on the final day, May 11.
Returning to pre-season training a fortnight tomorrow, City's first challenge will be to wreck Mourinho's second coming at Chelsea in 57 days time.
The self-titled 'Special One' returns to English football almost six years after leaving Stamford Bridge and City will be guests to the homecoming party. City began their second top-flight season with a 2-1 defeat at Chelsea in August 2009.
