HULL Wasps coach Matt Fawcett has credited his side's "tough defence" as the reason behind their three-match winning streak.
Following last week's first away win of the season, the Wasps will host Oldham Titans at Ennerdale Leisure Centre this weekend and be confident of extending their run.
Unbeaten at home this season, the Wasps enter their V-Cars.co.uk Division Four match in fine form and Fawcett is glad their efforts are paying off.
He said: "We have continued to work hard this week in training to try and get our fourth straight win, this time against Oldham. If we stay sharp and continue to do the things we do well then we should be okay.
"We play tough defence and have made that our priority against every team that we face."
Not only are the Wasps on a winning streak, they have also begun to click offensively to record their two highest points totals in the last two games.
Matt Brutnell has maintained his fantastic start to the season and is currently averaging 19.3 points per game, but now has consistent support from big man James Rayner at 17 points per game in the last three league games. John Kelsey also boasts a 15.5 average in the last two high-scoring wins.
Last season saw the Wasps defeat the Titans home and away, easily beating the visitors 84-39 at home, followed by a comfortable 79-66 away win.
Although they struggled in their first National League season, Oldham finished in a creditable tenth position, but are yet to record a victory this time around and are currently bottom of the table after six defeats.
Tomorrow's tip off is 6.30pm.
