TRAVIS Burns is confident he will be fit for Hull KR's clash at Catalan this weekend despite picking up a couple of niggling injuries playing for the Exiles.

The 29-year-old suffered up a dead leg and a collarbone injury in England's 30-10 win over the Exiles at the Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday.

But the Aussie stand-off insists neither will keep him out of Saturday's match at the Stade Ernest Wallon in Toulouse.

He told the Mail: "I'll ice up the leg injury and I'll be alright for this week.

"I took a bit of a bad knock on my collarbone too in the first half so I'll play it by ear.

"I'll have it looked at this week but it should be okay.

"I got through most of the game with it so, fingers crossed, it will be okay."

Rovers can ill afford to lose Burns, who has already missed seven games this season because of suspension and a shoulder injury.

In recent weeks, his partnership with Michael Dobson has been developing well and helped the Robins win three of their last four matches.

The pair played together for the Exiles and while the result didn't go their way, Burns is optimistic they can finish the season strongly for Rovers as they look to make the play-offs.

"It's another game alongside Dobbo under my belt," Burns said.

"I thought Michael was good and it will help to build our confidence.

"Hopefully, Michael and I can take some of that confidence back to Rovers this week and keep improving like we have been doing."

As for the Exiles experience, Burns was disappointed with his side's slow start which allowed England to lead 24-0 at the break.

"It was tough and a good step up from Super League like I knew it would be," said the stand-off, who was denied a try that could have set up a tense finale.

"The pace of the game was fast and England came at us very strongly.

"We couldn't get with things in the first half, but credit to the boys we came back in the second half and made a real game of it.

"If we could have got over the line a few more times, which we were unlucky not to, it would have been a real contest at 24-16. But they defended well and deserved the win."
