MICKEY Paea admits he will be sad to call time on his Hull KR career and has vowed to bow out in style.

The 27-year-old prop forward confirmed to the Mail he is to leave the club at the end of the season, as first revealed by his agent Darryl Mather.

He admits to having a number of Super League offers, with the Mail aware one is certainly from Rovers' rivals Hull FC.

Despite rumours across the City, Paea insists nothing is signed and sealed, and says a return to the NRL remains his preferred option.

And he has pledged to remain fully focused on playing his best for the Robins in his final days at the club.

"I'll definitely be sad to leave Rovers," Paea told the Mail, speaking after his performance for the Exiles against England.

"It wasn't what I originally wanted as there were a few things I needed answering at KR and they came a bit late.

"Unfortunately for me, it put me in a difficult position and that left me to check out other options.

"There are a couple of options here in England but I have to be patient as ideally I want to go home to Australia.

"Everyone there is trying to sign up the marquee players and I think I fall into the next category.

"Now I have a window to sort that out without losing something on offer over here. It's something I want to get sorted in the next couple of weeks."

Paea hasn't let anyone down in his two-year spell at Rovers, and he says nothing will change between now and the end of the season.

"All my focus and energy will be going into the Rovers team and I'll be doing my best to make sure we are a play-off team this year," he said. I've really enjoyed my time at Rovers, and there is still plenty of rugby to play."
