ENGLAND coach Steve McNamara assured Hull FC fans that the back injury to Gareth Ellis isn't as bad as it was first feared.
Ellis was helped from the field in the 68th minute after a tackle with Exiles centre Steve Menzies, but McNamara said Ellis was walking around afterwards.
"Gareth had a bad back spasm," he explained.
"Hopefully, it's not as bad as first feared. He was in a lot of pain as you could tell when he went into a spasm.
"He was up walking about in the changing room afterwards which is good. It might be 24 or 48 hours before we really know the full extent of the injury."
England beat the Exiles 30-10 with tries from Zak Hardaker, James Roby, Leroy Cudjoe (2)and Sam Tomkins. Captain Kevin Sinfield added four conversions and Josh Charnley one.
