CREDIT to Craig Sandercock and his Hull KR side because their defence showed it can front up to one of the best attacks in their win over Huddesfield.
Rovers again upset the form book, and just about everyone's script, by gaining a well-deserved two points over one of Super League's most consistent teams.
Huddersfield arrived at MS3 Craven Park as firm favourites, but after a big performance by the whole KR team they left very much with what they deserved, nothing.
Defensively, Rovers stood up to the mark against a big pack which has beaten so many with their physicality this season.
The big men of Eorl Crabtree, Craig Kopczak, Ukuma Ta'ai, Michael Lawrence and David Faiumu were knocked backwards more often than not, whilst KR also controlled the ruck speed and therefore limited the influence of the key man Danny Brough.
Sandercock and his coaches obviously saw the Giants as a huge test in the middle of the field, but his big men admirably showed that they are more than a match for any team on their day.
They not only stuck with the Giants in the middle, but eventually rolled over the top of them in a fantastic result.
In the halves, skipper Michael Dobson and Travis Burns set up plays and executed them with perfection, which was again a weakness identified by the coaches.
The outside backs and back rowers stifled the Giants edge raids, which are extremely
dangerous, and the outside backs finished the opportunities they created clinically.
To a man, the red and whites very much deserved their hard-fought victory, which placed them firmly in the top eight and will have boosted confidence heading into a week-long break.
The Robins showed composure and character to come from behind after seeing their blistering start pegged back by the Giants.
The players remained patient, executed the game plan, defended strongly and eventually overcame a very tough Giants team.
Sandercock and his coaches must now cross their fingers and hope none of his players playing for the Exiles pick up any
injuries.
The rest of the squad will get some much-needed time to rest and recuperate before heading into two huge fixtures away from home. Firstly, facing the very difficult Catalans on French soil before a big game against St Helens at Langtree Park, the team which currently sits one point and a place behind the Robins in the league ladder.
