DETECTIVES are hoping Mail readers can help them track down suspects wanted for questioning about crimes across the East Riding.

Officers have released the latest CCTV images of 16 people they wish to speak to.

Detective Inspector Joanne Roe, of Beverley CID, said: "We had several successful identifications following last month's article and a number of arrests have been made.

"We are hoping that members of the public will again be able to identify the people shown in these pictures so we can locate and arrest the people responsible for these crimes.

"It is always a great help when people put names to the faces and get in touch with us. We can then speak to those concerned and solve the offences."

Two of the images show a man and a woman wanted for stealing an elderly woman's purse at Barkers in Hallgate, Cottingham.

The pair are said to have removed the purse while speaking to the woman on Saturday, April 27.

Another man is wanted in connection with the theft of two credit cards from Humber and Yorkshire Coast Cancer Rsearch Network, Willerby. A further image features a man who is believed to have stolen several bottles of champagne and wine which he placed down his trousers. The theft took place on Thursday, March 21, at the Co-operative Retail Services, Old Goole Post Office, Goole, shortly after 8pm.

Other suspects police want to identify include several thefts and an attempted assault in which a customer at the Kingstown Hotel in Hull Road, Hedon, is said to have thrown a full pint glass across the bar in the direction of the manager. This took place shortly before 2.30pm on Tuesday, April 16.

Call Humberside Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111 if you know any of the people pictured or have any information on the crimes.
