E RIDING: A public planning inquiry for the site in Woodmansey begins tomorrow.
The inquiry at County Hall, Beverley, will hear appeals by Lakeminster Park Limited and one Lakeminster Park occupant against the refusal by East Riding Council to grant planning permission for the continued use of 70 existing park homes for permanent residential occupation at the site.
It will also hear appeals relating to two enforcement notices issued by the council, which require the use of the site for permanent residential occupation to end.
The council is legally obliged to host the inquiry, which will be open to the public, with proceedings expected to last between two and three weeks, It will run from Tuesday to Friday each week.
E RIDING: A public consultation is being held in Goole about proposals to turn a grassed area in Fountayne Street into a play area.
East Riding Council and Humberside Police are consulting with residents about installing new equipment.
The site, which is leased by the town council, is next to the existing small play area and skatepark and young people have asked for additional equipment.
Funding for equipment may be available, but community leaders are keen to hear the views of local residents.
The consultation event will be held on Thursday at Goole Leisure Centre from 5pm to 7pm.

EAST YORKS: Families in Bridlington who are on a low income and need help with grocery shopping are invited to join the town's food bank.
The food bank, which is run by Real Aid, is based at its Quay Road shop in the town.
Those who apply could get up to ten extra items a week.

A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held if ten electors for the parish call for one by Wednesday.
