PETER Gentle says Hull FC's clash with reigning Super League champions Leeds Rhinos cannot come soon enough for his players.

Revealing Hull have treated last weekend's controversial derby win like a loss, Gentle says his players are desperate to give a performance against the Rhinos at the KC Stadium.

Hull will face a stern challenge from the champions, but while a reversal of last week with a good performance and no points would not be disastrous, Gentle says the match is a must-win clash for FC.

"Tomorrow can't come soon enough," said Gentle. "We won't sit back thinking we can afford a couple more losses, tomorrow is win at all costs. It's a great challenge. We're up against the 'champion' side, but we are up for it."

Hull head into the game on the back of an eighth win in nine, but following a poor display which has left Gentle and his players eager to make amends.

"We've treated the derby game as a loss, I don't think we played well enough to deserve a win. Fortunately, we got the result through one way or another," added Gentle.

"KR seem to have a knack of bringing out the worst in us and we seem to bring out the best in them. It is something we've addressed and things will change the next time we play them."

While Hull were victorious at the Magic Weekend, Leeds impressed against Wigan, despite going down to a third successive loss.

But Gentle says he expects a champion performance from Brian McDermott's men.

"Leeds probably deserved to beat Wigan," said Gentle. "They've lost three but played three very good sides."
