PARENTS will have a fresh chance to have their say as the second phase of a consultation into the future of two nurseries is launched.
Hull City Council has produced a fresh list of options into the future of Clifton and Lambert Street nursery schools.
It follows an initial consultation period that saw hundreds of parents come out in support of the nurseries.
The new options do not include closing both nurseries.
The consultation document states: "The council believes that the range of options presented in this document reflect the outcomes of the initial consultation and that these options are financially sustainable.
"The options that we are consulting on have been strongly informed by the initial consultation.
"For that reason, this document does not contain any option that would lead to the closure of both of the Clifton and Lambert sites."
The second stage of the consultation has now started and will end on July 12.
Parents, carers and staff will have an opportunity to say what they think about the options.
The results of the consultation will then be considered by cabinet in September.
The report to cabinet will contain a recommended option and cabinet will decide on which of the options to propose. A final decision will then be made.
Meetings will be held at both nursery schools.
The first on Wednesday, June 5, will be at Lambert at 2pm and at Clifton at 6pm.
There will also be a meeting on Tuesday, June 11, at 2pm at Clifton and 6pm at Lambert.
