A MOTHER has appeared in court accused of murdering her five-week-old daughter.
Natasha Sultan, 21, did not enter a plea to the charge that she murdered Amelia-Lilly Sultan-Curtis between October 6 and October 9 last year.
Miss Sultan, of Welton Grove, north Hull, will appear at Hull Crown Court tomorrow when a judge will be asked to consider whether she should be granted bail.
Amelia-Lilly's father and Miss Sultan's mother were sitting in the public gallery during the five-minute hearing at Hull Magistrates Court.
Police said Amelia-Lilly died on October 8 last year after suffering head injuries.
Presiding magistrate Fiona Harding told Miss Sultan: "We don't deal with your case here. You will appear tomorrow in the Crown court.
"Until then, you are remanded in custody. That is all for today."
