Elderly man conned out of furniture and cash

HULL: Residents in the Wyke Area are being urged to look out for bogus callers after an elderly man was conned out of furniture and money.

The man was approached by door-to-door salespeople on Thursday in Beverley Road, who claimed they were selling furniture.

The two men, both with Irish accents, and one woman, were travelling in a blue Ford Transit van and a silver car.

One of the men was described as white, clean shaven and in his 20s.

The other was white, clean shaven, about 6ft and in his 50s.

The woman, who was sat in the passenger seat of the car, is described as white with blonde hair.
