MORE than 1,500 runners took part in the Beverley 10km race this morning.
The competition saw joggers set off from next to the town's Minster at 11.15am.
A separate 2km fun run was held for more junior competitors at Beverley Leisure Centre.
The race was organised by Beverley Athletic Club and sponsored by Hall Construction.
