AN OUTDOOR gym in Orchard Park is attracting worldwide attention.
The facility at the Shaw Park playing fields opened just over a year ago.
The free-to-use gym is powered by human movement, cutting energy costs and enabling people to exercise around the clock.
As well as proving popular with residents on the estate, the gym has also been attracting visitors from around the world.
Officials from Hungary and Mexico have already paid a visit, while a party from Uruguay is expected to try out the gym's equipment later this year.
The facility has also been featured in a TV programme screened by American international broadcaster CNN.
Councillor Terry Geraghty, who represents the Orchard Park and Greenwood ward, said: "Even I couldn't have imagined how much interest this gym has generated from around the world.
"The feature on CNN was the equivalent of £200m worth of free advertising for Orchard Park."
