HULL City Council leader Steve Brady has today responded to criticism of the authority by Tigers owner Assem Allam.
Dr Allam was quoted in a national newspaper criticising the council in an ongoing dispute over the ownership of the KC Stadium.
But Councillor Brady hit back: "I really do not want to prolong this argument over who said what about the KC Stadium, however I do take exception to some of the statements made by Dr Allam about the council in one of today's national newspapers.
"I have said to the club that I stick by what I have said before on this.
"If an offer comes in for the KC Stadium then I will put it to a referendum and see what the people of Hull have to say about it.
"Everyone is entitled to an opinion on this.
"To be absolutely clear – there has never been any offer on the table for the KC Stadium. Until there is, we are where we are."
