HULL: Humberside Police have issued advice to fans travelling to the KC Stadium for Hull City's match against Cardiff City on Saturday.

A win for the Tigers against already-promoted Cardiff will ensure a Premier League spot next season.

Chief Inspector Richard Kirven said: "The match will be a great fixture involving two fantastic clubs.

"The city will be exceptionally busy with shoppers and supporters alike. I would advise that you ensure you plan your journey to arrive at the ground in good time.

"Following the final whistle, both teams are likely to want to show their gratitude to supporters.

"If you'd like to be a part of these celebrations, I would ask that you remain in your seat and not be tempted into entering the playing area."

The stadium turnstiles are likely to open at 11.15am.

EAST HULL: Victims of Kingswood car crime are being invited to claim recovered items today.

EAST YORKS: There are still places available for a firewalk on Saturday in memory of a young woman who died of cancer.

Paul Toward, from The Friendly Forester Pub in Bridlington, has organised the event, which starts at 7pm, for the Katie Walker Cancer Trust.

Anyone wanting to take part in the firewalk should email Paul Toward at paul1768@live.co.uk or call 077915 39861.

E RIDING: A lorry fire during rush hour on the A63 near South Cave caused delays of up to 35 minutes yesterday.

The fire caused heavy traffic on the eastbound carriageway between the A1034 and the A15 Boothferry Road.

Fire crews arrived at the scene at 8.40am and used one hose reel to tackle the blaze.
