HULL FC say its match against Wigan tonight is not under threat after a major accident closed the M62.
Police, firefighters and the ambulance service rushed to junction 32 of the motorway (Pontefract) after a crash between a lorry and a minibus carrying 20 women.
Police have confirmed one woman has died.
Up to six air ambulances were on scene with police confirming 19 other women, believed to be on a hen party, have been injured, six seriously.
The driver of the lorry has been arrested.
A spokesman for Hull FC said the club has informed Wigan about the accident so it can tell fans to make adequate travel arrangements.
Tonights kick-off is 8pm at the KC Stadium.
The Wigan squad travelled last night.
The accident happened on the westbound carriageway which is expected to remain closed until 6pm. The eastbound carriageway has re-opened.8pm update: The M62 westbound is now open between junctions 32A and 32.
