Coach Sylvain Cloutier hopes Derek Campbell will recreate his points-scoring partnership with Jason Silverthorn and Jereme Tendler next season.
Campbell, 33, was one of five signings unveiled at tonight's fans' forum at Hull Arena.
Campbell netted over 50 points alongside Silverthorn to help the Rapid Solicitors Stingrays reach the Elite League semi-finals in 2011-12.
He played for Coventry Blaze last season, but has now been enticed back to the Stingrays.
Cloutier said: "Soupy will be back on the line with Jereme and Jason.
"It was a great line for our team, and will be one of the better lines in our Conference.
"They can put up numbers together - Soupy scored a point a game last time - and he's also a physical player who will stand up for his team-mates."
Campbell's arrival means the end of the road after only one campaign of enforcer Ryan Hand.
Stingrays also confirmed the signing of 26-year-old Canadian winger Guillaume Doucet, plus Brits from last season Tom Squires, Sam Towner and Scott Robson.
