THE girlfriend of a convicted rapist has been jailed for trying to frame his victims.
Ceri Shipman set up false Facebook accounts pretending Jason Savage's victims had admitted making the allegations up in a desperate bid to free him.
Savage, 29, of Ferensway, Hull city centre, may never be freed from prison after he was found guilty of a string of horrendous sex crimes.
Now, Shipman, 25, of Eastfield Road, west Hull, has been jailed for two-and-a-half years after pleading guilty to perverting the course of justice.
Senior Crown Prosecutor Michael Waudby said: "It's disturbing to think that anyone could put victims of violent and sexual abuse through further torment but Ceri Shipman decided to take on the criminal justice system. She has failed and now, like her partner, finds herself having to serve a prison sentence."
