PETER Gentle says his Hull FC side will not take any shortcuts this week as he prepares to field a strong line-up against North Wales Crusaders.
Hull begin their quest to get to Wembley with a Challenge Cup fourth round tie against the newly-formed Championship One side.
The game at the KC Stadium on Sunday (1pm) will see Hull start as overwhelming favourites against their Welsh opponents, who were created out of the ashes of the failed Crusaders club which played in Super League.
Despite being given the opportunity to rest several of his senior players and hand a number of his fringe men a run out, Gentle insists he will not compromise his standards.
And the Aussie coach, who is eager to pick up his first win in the cup, says that approach will apply to the whole week and not just game day.
"I won't be resting anyone," explained Gentle.
"We have spoken about this tie and we intend to treat it just like a Super League game. There won't be any change to our approach this week.
"We will do our review and preview exactly the same, training will not change and we won't compromise our standards for a game against a Championship side."
While a raft of injuries has lessened Gentle's first-team options, the coach could call upon under-19s players James Cunningham, Alex Starling and Ryan Wilson, who are all full-time professionals, as well as the likes of Jack Briscoe and Danny Nicklas.
The coach's comments mean a seasonal debut for those five is unlikely, although full-back Jamie Shaul could get another chance to impress while second row Liam Kent is on course to play his first game of the year after returning from injury for York on Sunday.
Hull's squad will be strengthened this week by the return of left-sided outside backs Tom Briscoe and Kirk Yeaman, with Paul Johnson also likely to play after a two-week absence.
