Hull FC continued their unbeaten run with a third victory this month as they beat Salford City Reds 24-18.
Two tries for Richard Whiting and a try each for Ben Crooks and Tom Lineham were enough to secure victory at the Salford City Stadium.
Salford took the lead after only four minutes when they made the most of Hull being down to 12 men, after an early sin-binning for Jay Pitts after he held back Wayne Godwin as he tried to score.
The reds took full advantage as Danny Williams crashed over in the corner.
Growing into the game, Hull hit back with two tries in as many minutes as first Ben Crooks ran 40 metres to chase down his own kick, before Richard Whiting supported Richard Horne's break to touch down under the posts.
Starting the second half with a third try, this time from Tom Lineham, Hull took control of the game.
Heading into the final quarter the Reds gave themselves a sniff of a comeback thanks to Gareth Owen's dart from dummy-half and Marc Sneyd's second conversion.
That hope was soon ended when Whiting charged down Sneyd's kick before gathering the ball and touching down unchallenged.
Jodie Broughton did score another try for the hosts, but coming in the last minute it was too late as Hull tasted victory again.
