TOM Lineham says Hull FC won't take Salford for granted this afternoon despite the Reds' woeful start to the season.

A takeover by ambitious new owner Marwan Koukash has seen anticipation grow at the club that they can now push on to become play-off contenders in the future.

But still without a head coach and former Hull player Alan Hunte in temporary command, the Reds have won just two of their 11 games this season.

With a points difference of minus 225, the Reds have become the whipping boys and went down 58-24 at Widnes last week.

Hull head across the M62 as hot favourites, but Lineham is aware of how the Black and Whites have tripped up before in similar situations and insists nothing will be taken for granted.

"The thing about Super League this year is everyone seems to be beating everyone else and you cannot take anything for granted," Lineham told the Mail.

"We will direct all our attention on getting a win at Salford and there is no chance we will be taking it lightly.

"It is not an easy place to go, they have some good halves and are dangerous."

Hull head to Salford bidding for a third successive win which could take them into the play-offs for the first time this year.

Building on victories over Wakefield and Catalan, Lineham believes the Black and Whites are starting to show signs that the team are beginning to click into gear.

He added: "Last week was a really good performance. The line speed and aggression of the forwards was key, they really stood up and put some big tackles in to drive Catalan back.

"On the back of that, our halves put in some great kicks and we played on the back of that, you could see things coming together and it's very positive going forward into this week."
