FORMER Hull KR stand-off Blake Green ran in a hat-trick of tries as he helped Wigan Warriors hammer the Robins 84-6. Pat Richards scored 28 points as the Warriors blew Craig Sandercock's under-strength side away. Rovers were missing key men such as Michael Dobson, Travis Burns, Cory Paterson and Dave Hodgson, but there can be little excuse for the poor show given by the home side. In total Wigan ran in 15 tries, with the rout being started in the third minute by winger Josh Charnley, who made his Super League debut for Hull KR back in 2010. Green marked his return soon after following good work from Sam Tomkins, who then used his speed to set up another try-scoring opportunity for Iain Thornley to cross. Richards was next to score as he was quickest to his own kick, before Hughes added his name to the scoresheet. Green grabbed his second on the half hour, with Rovers getting over for their only score through Greg Eden just before the break. It was merely a consolation as Wigan led 36-6, and the vistors started where they had left off in the second half as Green completed his hat-trick. Matty Smith was the next over, before Chris Tuson followed. Richards made it 48-6 before Smith added his second, but still the Warriors were not finished. Powell scored and on their next set, and after that Liam Farrell went over with Richards converting both after creating both with clever infield kicks. Thornley and Tuson added their second tries of a very one-sided encounter before Tomkins rounded off a nightmare for Rovers with two minutes remaining.
