RIVAL football fans have joined forces to condemn West Yorkshire Police's travel restrictions at Hull City's clash at Huddersfield.
More than 100 Huddersfield and Hull City fans marched shoulder to shoulder through the town centre behind a banner which read "we are not criminals, we are free fans".
The peaceful march took place ahead of today's Championship clash at the John Smith's Stadium.
Tigers fans wanting to watch the match had to either travel on official coaches from Hull, or get to Hartshead Moor services to pick up their tickets before being transported to the stadium by coach.
Louis Cooper, who travels from Manchester to watch the Tigers, led the march.
The 15-year-old fan, who launched a high-profile legal challenge to West Yorkshire Police, said he had chosen to boycott today's game.
He said: "I'm only 15 but I'm already tired of being treated like a second class citizen just because I follow football," he said.Video: The march through Huddersfield
West Yorkshire Police gave the game the highest possible risk rating, worried about public safety due to the kick-off time and fans drinking before the game.
Malcolm Clarke, a Stoke City fan, stopped off to show his support on his way to watch his team play at Everton.
He said: "It's a huge own goal for West Yorkshire Police as this has caused a lot of damage to their reputation.
"I remember about eight years ago when we had similar restrictions. It was unjustified and humiliating."
West Yorkshire Police said around 70 people attended the march, which finished as scheduled outside Huddersfield library before 3pm.
However, the Football Supporters' Federation said about 200 people had joined in.
Chief Supt Tim Kingsman, divisional commander of Kirklees Police, said: "This afternoon's march has ended peacefully following a successful policing operation.
"We worked closely with the organiser beforehand to help him faciliate the event safely, and I wish to thank those who took part for their conduct."
Hull City players are expected to wear T-shirts at this evening's game in support of the fans' stand.
