A CYCLIST on a road race has died after a collision with a caravan on the A63 outside Hull.
Police confirmed the man died in the accident which happened at around 10.30am near South Cave. The westbound A63 was closed after the accident which involved the cyclist and a caravan being towed by a 4x4 vehicle. Around 150 cyclists were taking part in a time trial organised by the Hull City Road Club at the time of the crash. The club has confirmed the cyclist involved in the crash was one of the participants. The road was shut between the Welton Road at Brough and the A1034 at South Cave.
