Dozens of residents in Easington have had to be evacuated from their homes after a shed fire.
Police have cordoned off the area around an address on Turmarr Villas in Easington.
The fire service, who got to the scene at 9.40am this morning (Thursday) say 30 people have been evacuated.
The spokeswoman said: "There was a shed fire between two semi-detached properties.
"The evacuation is a precautionary measure as there were some cylinders in the shed.
"Fire officers are on scene cooling the cylinders down. The fire has been extinguished.
"There has been a lot of smoke damage to two properties."
There are no reported injuries.
