BRIDLINGTON: A post mortem carried out on the body of David Hockney's assistant Dominic Elliott has revealed no obvious natural cause of death, police have said.
Mr Elliott, 23, was a friend of the world- renowned painter and often visited his house.
He was taken to hospital from the artist's Bridlington home on Sunday morning.
Mr Elliott's grandfather Walter Elliott, 83, said he believed he had been at a party.
Further tests will now be carried out on Mr Elliott's body but police said their results would not be known for some weeks.
His family has been kept up to date by police.
E YORKS: BBC staff have voted to take further nationwide strike action over job cuts.
Members of Unite, the National Union of Journalists (NUJ) and broadcasting union Bectu are challenging cuts under the Delivering Quality First programme.
Andy Comfort, host of BBC Radio Humberside's breakfast show and father of Chapel at the NUJ branch, said he did not believe a strike date had yet been decided.
The BBC is also carrying out a review into allegations of bullying and harassment.
COTTINGHAM: The fire service was called to a chimney blaze at a house in Queens Way, off Northgate.
Firefighters removed the grate and flue from a wood burner and put the fire out.
Emergency services were called yesterday at 2.20pm.

Canadian performer Lynne Hanson took to the stage at last year's Cornucopia Festival near Driffield.
