Hull FC star Brett Seymour is to enter a rehab clinic to fight depression, his wife Roseanne said today. The rugby league player is being supported by Sporting Chance, the organisation founded by former England football captain Tony Adams.Seymour's battle with depression was revealed by Roseanne earlier this month, days after he crashed his BMW into two parked cars in Hessle. Posting today on the Facebook group 'Get Well Soon Brett Seymour', Roseanne said: "Thank you all for your ongoing support. "Brett has been getting the help he needs through a wonderful organisation called Sporting Chance and will be entering a 21 day rehabilitation clinic for his depression with them in April. "To all the people on here who have shared your own stories of depression, I want you to know that by sharing you have helped Brett so much. He sat and read each story and was truly overwhelmed. You have given him strength and also me. "All I want is my husband to be healthy for our beautiful daughter Monroe. "I pray that everyone who suffers this dark illness finds light and happiness. "Love to all of you. THANK YOU!!!!! The Seymours Xx Xx." Hundreds of rugby league fans have posted messages of support to the Facebook group and told their own stories of fighting depression. One fan, Steven Johnson, from London, posted today: "Brett and Roseanne have 100 per cent backing from the Hull FC faithful. Good luck and God bless. Onwards and upwards for you and your family." Adams set up Sporting Chance in 2000 after successfully fighting alcoholism. The clinic has since developed into one of the world's best-known centres for the treatment of behavioural problems among professional and amateur sports people.
