A 25-year-old university student has been charged with two knife-point robberies.
Tom Henry Waller, of Ryde Street, off Beverley Road, Hull, has appeared at Hull Magistrates' Court charged with a total of three offences.
He is charged with a knife-point robbery at Worthing Stores, in Worthing Street, on March 14, a knife-point robbery at Bet Fred, on Beverley Road, on March 12, and a third offence of snatching a woman's bag last October.
Detective Sergeant Jon Cross praised the "excellent initial police response" to the Worthing Street offence, which led to Mr Waller being arrested and charged.
