A motorist has been taken to hospital following a crash in west Hull this morning.
The man was driving a small Vauxhall Combo van when he smashed into a tree on Pickering Road at around 6.15am.
The road, at the junction with Cranberry Way, was closed both directions for more than three hours while the vehicle was cleared and the accident investigated.
The casualty was taken to Hull Royal Infirmary with non-life threatening injuries. No other vehicles were involved and there were no passengers in the van.
