PETER Gentle has challenged his team to succeed where every other side has failed this season and nullify the threat of Huddersfield's Danny Brough tonight.

The Giants are riding high in Super League with five wins from six games, their solitary defeat coming against Bradford in a game Brough missed.

Unbeaten with Brough in their side, Gentle has identified the former Hull scrum-half as Super League's form half-back.

And aware of the time and space Brough is being given to play by a dominant Huddersfield pack, Gentle has challenged his team to nullify the Giants' forwards in order to take Brough out of the equation.

"Everyone is well aware of the forward pack they have got and how much room and time they are giving Danny Brough to play off the back of," said Gentle.

"There is no special blueprint in how to beat Huddersfield, it's about winning the battle in the middle.

"It's a big challenge for our boys as we are coming up against the form pack in Super League, and the form half-back.

"It is going to be tough but I am confident we can go there and meet the challenge ahead of us.

"This week will be a big ask for our middle men but I'd like to think they can respond to that.

"It will be a battle for 80 minutes, it will be a battle fought down the middle and the half-backs will play off what's given to them from the middle unit.

"I'd like to think we can hold them in the middle and put a bit of pressure on Brough.

"Huddersfield have given the best team performance this season when they won at St Helens.

"They've only come unstuck once at Bradford and Brough didn't play in that game."
