A woman has been fined for dropping litter in Hull city centre.
Charlene Pounder, 27, of Wingfield Road, east Hull, was charged with littering following investigation by the Council's Neighbourhood Nuisance Team.
Pounder did not attend the court case at Hull Magistrates Court and was found guilty in her absence of littering on Ferensway and ordered to pay a £75 fine, £20 victim surcharge and £100 costs.
Councillor John Hewitt, portfolio holder for neighbourhoods and families, said: "It is important to keep our city looking tidy for residents and visitors. People need to dispose of waste properly and can use any of the 200 waste bins placed across the city centre.
"The council will continue to tackle those who drop litter and we also encourage anyone who witnesses others dropping litter to report it to the Council to enable us to take action against them."
