TWO cars have been involved in a crash on Spring Bank West this afternoon.
The accident, involving a silver VW Passat and a blue Renault Megane, happened just before 12.30pm close to the Chanterlands Avenue junction.
Three fire engines and ambulance crews have been on the scene and two males in the VW Passat had to be cut free by firefighters.
The Megane collided with the rear of the Passat. Three people were travelling in the Passat and the two rear seat passengers sustained whiplash injuries and were taken to HRI as a precaution. The drivers of the both cars were uninjured.
The westbound lane on Spring Bank West was blocked while the road was cleared and reopened at 1.40pm.
