HULL KR coach Craig Sandercock was at a loss to explain his side's woeful collapse at Salford in which they threw away a 20-point lead to lose 38-34.
And the Aussie coach was again bemoaning a lack of discipline from his side – mixed in with individual errors – for another disappointing result.
Rovers have won just one and lost three of their opening four fixtures, and now face early season pace-setters and Grand Final favourites Warrington at MS3 Craven Park next week.
"We were playing really well and then we made a lot of errors," Sandercock said when reflecting on his side's capitulation.
"Last week Con Mika was man of the match, then this week he has dropped two crucial balls,"
"It's different players making the mistakes every week. If it was the same player week after week, I could do something about it.
"All the other errors we made were disappointing, and of course, I expect better."
Holding a 34-14 lead with half an hour remaining, Rovers had looked in complete control and on their way to a second successive victory.
Despite holding his hands up to his side's failings, Sandercock also thought they were harshly done to at times, in particular when Dale Ferguson had a try disallowed just before half-time.
Sandercock thought it should have stood, which would have given Rovers a stronger position from which to close the game out.
"I thought their player knocked the ball on and Dale ended up scoring from it," Sandercock said.
"When you're not winning games, all the 50/50 decisions go against you though.
"In the end, if we had been disciplined and not given away all those penalties and kept hold of the ball, we'd have won the game. It's that simple.
"Salford took their opportunities and good luck to them."
