THEIR footballer son is living the dream after his giant-killing side knocked out three Premier League clubs to reach a Wembley cup final.
Now, Will Atkinson's proud parents are on their way to London to see the ex-Hornsea Schoolboy line up for the Capital One Cup Final tomorrow.
Ex-Tiger Will, 24, helped Bradford City knock-out top-flight sides Wigan Athletic, Arsenal and Aston Villa to reach Wembley.
His proud family are now hoping the League Two minnows can complete the fairytale by beating another Premier League side, Swansea City, to lift the cup.
Dad Kevin Atkinson, 52, director of Hull company Thermoplant Offshore Services, says: "It's a dream for Will. He deserves it, he has worked his socks off.
"I used to run his junior team in Brandesburton and scouts were always interested in him from the age of eight, when he joined Hull City.
"I always thought he had something special and would make it. We are very proud."
The Driffield-born midfielder joined Bradford City last year.
His mum Helen, 51, says: "I am really excited and proud of him.
"They've got suits for the final and he has boots with his name embroidered on them.
"We're hoping he will be picked to play. He's very excited."
Will, who has scored in the league and FA Cup this season, would love to hit the back of the net at Wembley.
He said: "Scoring a goal at Wembley is something you dream about doing when you are a lad. It would be a dream come true.
"But just to be on the pitch at Wembley, if I manage to do that, it will be amazing."
"We will be big underdogs but that suits us, we have been underdogs in all our ties against the Premier League sides and we managed to come out on top."
Will was a non-playing member of Hull City's promotion-winning squad in the 2008 Championship play-off final at Wembley, when a Dean Windass goal fired The Tigers to the Premier League.
Will says he has good memories of being at Wembley for the historic win.
Now he could help make history for Bradford City.
He said: "I went to Wembley as part of Hull City's squad and it was good to be there and see them win, it was a good experience of Wembley.
"I never thought I would be back so soon in a final.
"We will just enjoy the day and give it our all and see what happens."
Opponents Swansea City, who were hammered 5-0 in the Premier League by Liverpool last weekend, will be under pressure as cup favourites.
Will says: "They are expected to beat us so there is more pressure on them.
"It's their first major final as well so they will be more nervous than us."
Will has managed has organised dozens of tickets for family and friends who will be travelling to Wembley from East Yorkshire for the match.
He says: "I have lost count of how many tickets I have been asked for.
"It will be good to have the people there who have supported me."
Among family heading to the capital will be Will's sisters, Rachel and Frances, both sets of grandparents and uncles, aunts and cousins.
Also supporting him will be girlfriend Imogen Sibley-Calder from Hornsea and an uncle who will be flying in from Qatar.
Will is among a five-strong ex-Hull City contingent involved in the Wembley final.
Bradford City manager Phil Parkinson and his assistant Steve Parkin were previously at the KC Stadium, as were goalkeeper Matt Duke and utility player Nathan Doyle, who still lives in East Yorkshire.
Will said: "There's quite a strong link with five of us who were at Hull.
"I'm sure a few people from East Yorkshire will be watching the game."
Among those travelling from East Yorkshire will be a mini-bus of 12 from Willerby-based copy and print specialists KRL Group, which sponsors Bradford City as well as local clubs.
KRL managing director George Baker, whose company has an office in Bradford, says: "Seeing Bradford City get to Wembley has been real Roy Of The Rovers stuff, it's a dream come true.
"It's a Yorkshire team and it's always nice to have success in the north."
Tomorrow's final kicks off at 4pm and is live on Sky Sports 1.
